Operational Partnership

Deep Operating Resources

We are operator-partners providing a differentiated private equity experience for founders and management teams that is anchored in respect, partnership and expertise.

Our team is comprised of operators, investors, entrepreneurs and consultants, many of whom have sat in your seat and bring diverse skills and deep empathy to our partnerships.
Some private equity firms have a playbook and push down plans to their portfolio companies. Our approach is different. We help companies grow by providing a strategic sounding board and 360-degree operational support. We work with management teams to map out a consensus path forward, and provide the tools to help execute in each of the following areas:

Evolution that Builds on the Company’s Legacy

We provide a differentiated private equity experience for founders and management teams by focusing on what drives the greatest impact, building on the company’s culture and values.
Iron Path derives from the Italian term “via ferrata,” a fortified route along a challenging Alps climb. Our name embodies how we support companies in scaling swiftly and deliberately, one secure step at a time. While we back great management teams, even the best mountain climbers need a crew. Whether executing roll-up acquisitions or implementing new operational excellence tools, we provide both ariel-view guidance and boots on the ground to help companies scale.

Investment Approach

Backing the Healthcare and Specialty Industrials Businesses that Build our Future

Our sector expertise, coupled with a diligent investment process, enable us to achieve outsized returns in the lower middle-market.

With decades of experience investing and operating in healthcare and specialty industrials, our team and executive advisor network are deeply engaged in market trends. We have a history of being early movers, an approach that enables us to build proprietary relationships with management teams and structure aligned partnerships.

Lower Middle-Market Investment Criteria

We invest in growing companies with capable management teams, defensible, scalable business models, multiple growth vectors and a clear path to greatness, generating between $5 million – $15 million in EBITDA with high recurring cash flows.

Wall Street Expertise Meets Main Street Authenticity

While our investment process is based on best practices honed at our former firms, unique to Iron Path is our entrepreneurial creativity: a Day-One mentality that blends Wall Street capability with Main Street authenticity.

We invest where we see transformational opportunity to work hand in hand to add value. Our executive network, many of whom worked with Rob and Scott as part of former portfolio companies, are a testament to the operational, financial, and personal impact of an Iron Path partnership.
